Lecture + Therapies for Birthkeepers & Healing Practitioners

Lecture on the benefits and uses of pelvic steaming for labor preparation, labor, and postpartum recovery. Lecture on gua sha and herbal chest steams to treat clogged ducts, engorgement, and mastitis. 

After the lecture, everyone will get to do a pelvic steam session, one round in the full body herbal steam sauna, and gua sha therapy. Everyone will receive a tool for gua sha and get to practice on their own chest/ breasts for chest/ breast health. Maximum capacity is 4 people per event. 

By the end of this lecture and experiential session you will be able to: 

* Answer client questions about steaming

* Know when to refer clients for these therapies

* Have extra resources to suggest to clients for many labor and postpartum issues that arise

* Midwives will know how to safely facilitate a pelvic steam at a birth 

You will have an intro to personal tools for health and wellness if you wish to dive deeper into your own personal healing. You can continue your personal gua sha practice for chest/ breast health, pelvic steaming, and/ or the full body steam sauna from the comfort of your home if you have health imbalances you would like to address.
